About Me

My name is David Frankel.  I am a qualified and experienced musician, with over twenty years' experience of teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities. Lessons with me can include singing, movement, playing by ear, rote learning, improvisation and composition, as well as developing reading skills.  Lessons can cover a range of styles, including classical, pop, jazz and blues.

I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, the UK's professional body for musicians.  I am also a member of the Curious Piano Teachers, an online community of piano teachers which provides regular professional development and opportunities to continually refresh my approach to piano teaching.  I am also an examiner for ABRSM, the world's leading provider of music exams, in both classical and jazz syllabuses.
